Cessation of “General Demand Note” for Payment of Applications for Visas for Further Employment of Foreign Domestic Helpers

With effect from 1 September 2025, the Immigration Department will adjust the visa payment methods for applications for further employment of foreign domestic helpers (FDHs) submitted online, by post or drop-in box. For those visa applications approved on or after 1 September 2025, no “General Demand Note” (GDN) will be enclosed with the notification of the application result. Applicants may make visa payment by methods stipulated in the notification of the application result, including online payment by credit card (VISA, Mastercard, UnionPay and JCB only), Payment by Phone Service (PPS), Faster Payment System (FPS) or Mainland China’s Licensed Digital Wallets (Alipay, WeChat Pay and UnionPay App only) and etc. After payment, applicants can instantly download or print the “e-Visa”.
For those approved visa applications issued with a GDN before 1 September 2025, applicants can still make the visa payment by using the GDN before the payment due date.
